| The Jesus Crusades Foreign Missions | |
| From the inception of
the Jesus Crusades, it has been a desire of the ministry that the
messages God has given on the Kingdom of God, go to the 'ends of
the earth.' The first twenty years have seen these beautiful,
glorious words travel with power within the borders of America.
During this time-span, Bro. Orand was offered many opportunities to
travel throughout the earth, at his own expense, to preach,
encourage, and pray.
With the advent of the internet, the boundaries in the earth created by man have been eliminated. In an instant, from a small keyboard, Truth in the Word of God and relationship with God's people can be established around the World. In 1999, the Jesus Crusades began their involvement in foreign missions. Bro. John Humkey, a pilot for Continental Airlines, became the Director of Foreign Missions for the Jesus Crusades. Bro. Humkey's flying to various nations as a part of his employment, facilitates personal contact with resident ministers, initially established via the internet. While it is important for ministries with a message to travel to foreign countries, i.e. Apostle Paul to Asia, T. L. & Daisy Osborn to India, Lottie Moon, etc, it has been this ministries firm belief that the 'riches of the world are laid up for the righteous', rather than the riches of the righteous laid up for the world! Through twenty years of experience, we have seen millions of dollars spent in unnecessary extravagant trips, in the name of 'foreign missions', which could have been spent to directly enhance the lives and ministry of native foreign missionaries ready to work in the kingdom. One missionary trip from America to India has an approximate cost of eleven thousand dollars, which is the same that would buy two hundred desperately needed bicycles for individual Pastors, walking to preach in India and Pakistan. When we, as ministers in America, take our families out to eat, we think nothing about leaving a fifteen dollar tip for the service we receive. Fifteen dollars in India will feed, house and clothe a Pastor and his family for an entire week. I would emphasize, that we in no way want to depreciate the call or the work being done by American missionaries on the foreign field, for this is the foundation being laid. We simply believe that we are entering into a new and exciting realm of electronic and personal ministry that is going to bridge the gap that distance and language has created. We can also be cost effective in doing the work of evangelism, and getting these anointed, prophetic messages out to all of God's people! |
John Humkey (right) with the Jorge and Ruth Arevalo family in Lima, Peru. Bro. Arevalo came from the jungles of Peru, sent by God to Lima, for the purpose of winning the capitol city for Jesus. He made his first contact as he searched the world wide web and found "www.jesuscrusades.org ". E-mails were exchanged, relationship developed, and now we stand with and in support of this wonderful family, as they have become 'Jesus Crusaders' in Lima, Peru. We ask you to pray for their ministry. If the Lord leads you to support them financially, every dollar designated will go to that ministry. Should financial involvement be of your interest, you can make contact with us at "jesuscrusades@jesuscrusades.org" .

You, too, can buy a bicycle to go directly into the hands of a local Indian Pastor. They cost $60 each or 18 for $1000 American. If interested, just contact us at "jesuscrusades@jesuscrusades.org". |
